NewsX may have finally found a suitor

Speculation is rife in the media world  that Indi Media Network owned English news channel NewsX  has finally found  a buyer . The buyer could be ITV Media (Information TV).

However when contacted Jehangir Pocha, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of NewsX did not wish to comment on this and made no confirmation with regard to this news.

Till a month back it was rumoured that a media giant was in the run up to to buy out  NewsX.

ITV Media an electronic media company broadcasts 24/7 Hindi news channel, India News. It is headed by Mr. Kartikeya Sharma and also has two regional news channels, India News Haryana and India News Bihar.

NewsX was earlier owned by INX news and launched in March 2008. In 2009 it was bought over by Indi Media Network, a partnership between the Nai Dunia CEO Mr.Vinay Chhajlani and Business world Editor Mr. Jehangir Pocha.

ITV is also a part of the Picadilly Group which publishes a daily Hindi Newspaper, Aaj Samaj, as well as a weekly Hindi magazine, India News.

If the deal goes through for NewsX  it will give ITV an instant foothold in the English news domain.
