NewsX - TSG Roundtable: The Vyapam Scam

This weekend, NewsX – TSG Roundtable brings forth the much talked about Vyapam Scam – the admission and recruitment scam involving politicians, senior officials and businessmen in the state of Madhya Pradesh. 

The scam involved deceit by undeserving candidates, who bribed the politicians and MPPEB officials through middlemen to secure high ranks.  Though the cases of irregularities have been reported since mid -1990’s, it was only in 2013 that the sheer scale of the scam came to light. By June 2015, more than 2000 people were arrested including the former Education Minister of the State, Laxmikant Sharma and over a hundred other politicians.
