Nielsen ropes in Steve Hasker

Nielsen has roped in McKinsey & Co. partner Steve Hasker for the newly created position of president, Media Product Leadership and Advertiser Solutions.

Hasker is going to take up the mentioned position next month and will report to company CEO David Calhoun and Itzhak Fisher, who has been promoted to evp at Nielsen. Itzhak Fisher will be responsible for global product leadership, emerging businesses and strategic planning.

At Nielsen, Hasker will work upon developing strategies and oversee expansion of Nielsen's media products and services, including measurement of television, online and mobile media, as well as the company's ongoing work around cross-media measurement. Jim O'Hara, who previously was the pilot for Media Product Leadership, is being appointed as the client servicing executive for emerging businesses at Nielsen's Global Business Solutions division.

This additional responsibility will see Hasker will work intimately with co-CEOs of Nielsen IAG, Alan Gould and Ken Orkin. Gould and Orkin are also going to look after day-to-day operations of Advertiser Solutions.
