Nikhil Madhok quits Discovery Networks Asia Pacific

Nikhil Madhok, Senior Vice-President and Head of Products, Discovery Networks Asia Pacific, has put in his papers after a stint of one year. It is learnt that Madhok is returning to India in a senior role within the media industry. 

With over 16 years of experience in General Management, Content creation, Brand Management & Sales for leading brands with a national and global footprint, Madhok has led cross functional international teams to deliver exciting brand mixes across the globe. 

He had joined Star India as Marketing Head in 2011, where he headed Marketing & Content strategy for Star Plus. He had conceived, planned and executed the entire 360-degree launch of Star India’s most ambitious show of the decade – ‘Satyamev Jayate’.  

Madhok had also worked for both original content creation and P&L management as Business Head at Life OK (now Star Bharat). He was instrumental in creating a new male-focused content strategy, which created a unique place for the channel in a fragmented General Entertainment category catering only to women. 

He had also worked with Turner and HUL for three years.
