Nilesh Thakkar enters as Sr VP in Mahuaa Group

Mahuaa Group's new recruit Nilesh Thakkar joins as Senior Vice-President for their National division. Thakkar will handle one cluster of channels which will be released in May 2011.

Confirming the reports Nikhil Seth, President - Sales, Mahuaa Group said, " Nilesh brings with him some rich experience from TV to news which will give him an advantage in spearheading the team and growing their network from four channels to more by the next month."

Thakkar thus ends a six year stint with MCCS & Star Majha where he worked as Channel Head. He has also worked with Zee Marathi -Zee Telefilms Ltd. as Assistant Vice President-Ad sales/events in 2000.

Mahuaa Media already has two existing regional language channels, Mahuaa Bangla and Mahuaa TV. This year Mahuaa Media plans to expand with more channels launching in the coming month. | By Vanessa Azavedo [vanessa(at)adgully.com]
