Nischal Puri, MD at Brandis India steps down

Nischal Puri, founder and promoter of Brandis India, the garment manufacturing company of popular lingerie brand Beyouty and men’s active wear 2go stepped down as managing director of the company earlier today. The decision was arrived at in consensus with the board after Mr. Puri decided that it was time to pursue his other interests.

 

“Brandis has been built with passion and drive and it has come to a level where it doesn’t need my full time engagement. We are incredibly proud of the journey undertaken, starting with the funding received to the current stage where we have two established brands, multiple manufacturing facilities and a stable pipeline of exports”said Mr. Puri.

 

Brandis India was conceptualized and conceived by Mr. Puri in 2010, Brandis manufacturing and Marketing Pvt. ltd. operates in the women’s lingerie and men’s active wear business. They raised 115 crores from Peepul Capital, established manufacturing capacities to produce garments in India and will scale an annual turnover of around INR 1.06 billion by the end of this year.

 

“The decision is motivated by a need to venture out and embrace new challenges. Brandis has grown to a stage today where it can be professionally managed. I continue to be on the board and will always wish the brands I helped build the very best. It has been a long standing desire to give back some of the knowledge I have gained through public speaking forums, and from my experience of more than 30 years in the business of building brands, consulting for them and more recently raising funds for ventures, I truly believe in” said Mr. Puri, who headed Jockey earlier and has consulted with several brands.

 

Brandis India currently has around 4000 retail partners in over 2500 cities in India.
