North eastern states are must visit places: L'Oreal's Manashi Guha

Manashi Guha’s career at L’Oreal spans six years, prior to which she worked as Group Brand Manager at some global companies such as General Mills (GM) and Lotte Confectionery.  Earlier she has also worked as Strategy Consultant at Avalon Consulting (Business Consulting group).  At L'Oreal, Guha was heading the Key Accounts and later became the National Sales Development Manager. Her strength is her ability to understand consumer insights and use them to formulate the brand strategy. She has spent close to 14 years in brand management.

Along with her hard work and responsibilities, we see an entirely different side to Guha who loves to travel and explore new places in India and abroad.
In the latest edition of Fox Traveller Diaries, we have Manashi Guha, GM, L'Oreal Paris who shares with us her best travelling memoirs.

Fox Traveller Diaries (FTD): If there is one place you can keep going back to for a holiday, where would it be?

Manashi Guha (MG): I would love to go back again to the north eastern states, the 7 states. Eight years ago I travelled across all the 7 north eastern states for 14 days. It's amongst the most beautiful parts of our country.

FTD: Tell us three good things about travelling.

MG: It helps you to keep learning about culture, people and cuisines.

FTD:  When you travel, what is a must carry for you?

MG:  I think credit cards, mobile and passport.

FTD:  When and where did your best holiday happen?

MG: Most relaxing one was the week I spent in Scotland.

FTD:  As a  traveller, what’s your tip for the others?

MG: Travel sensibly and don't make your life uncomfortable by carrying extra luggage.

FTD:  A colleague/co-worker from your industry with whom you would like to go on a holiday.

MG: Every year I go on a holiday alone, that's my learning holiday. But, I love to take my colleagues with me.

FTD:  Have you ever been surprised by the taste of food, outside India? Where?

MG: Not really.

FTD:  What and where has been your best bazaar bargain so far?

MG: I am not the sort of person who bargains.

FTD: Which has been the most unique destination that you ever visited?

MG: Tropical forest trip in Srilanka.

FTD:  Tell us how you have managed to make a journey fun.

MG:  Just accept and enjoy the place you visit.

FTD:  A gourmet gaffe that you would like to share.

MG: No, not experienced one as such.

FTD: What has been your worst travel moment? Why?

MG: There was a guy in the French passport control who forgot to stamp my visa when I was entering Spain, I had to travel back all the way and do that.

FTD:  What is the best souvenir you ever bought for anyone?

MG: Cannot recollect anything in particular
