NRAI-Zomato unable to come to a resolution over 'Gold' service

On Monday, after a meeting with aggregators like Zomato and Swiggy, the National Restaurant Association of India which has said in a statement that no significant progress had been made in negotiations with the food delivery service Zomato.

The main issue remains Zomato’s Gold service which allows for deep discounting, the brunt of which is passed on to the restaurant. The NRAI has said that Zomato Gold in its current form not acceptable in the dine in or delivery segment.

However, the NRAI has resolved negotiation with other players like Swiggy, Dineout, Magicpin, and Nearbuy according to media reports. The 300 restaurants that had participated in the #Logout campaign are now back in business on these apps.

The spokesperson has said that talks with Eazydiner are also moving towards a resolution.
