Ogilvy will lead global strategic and creative duties for Absolut Vodka

Ending a 4-years relationship with BBH, Absolut has chosen Ogilvy to be its creative agency from now.

Ogilvy will lead global strategic and creative duties for the brand in leading markets," with the ambition to accelerate its leadership position,” Absolut said in a press release.
According to the media reports, “Absolut has an incredible legacy of creating extraordinary and unexpected communications, of being a cultural provocateur,” said Tad Greenough, the global chief creative officer at Absolut.
The Swedish vodka has consistently won awards and garnered buzz for its ads. Last year, Absolut worked with BBH for the “Vote First, Drink Second” advocacy campaign to encourage people to vote in the 2020 elections.
Last year, the brand passed on a message, Drink Responsibly, #SexResponsibility that coincided with Valentine’s Day.
This new partnership with Ogilvy follows Pernod naming Pam Forbus as Chief Marketing Officer, North America. Ogilvy also represents other brands in the Pernod portfolio. Earlier this month, Ogilvy was selected to serve as the lead creative agency for Olmeca Altos Tequila, Tequila Avión, and Del Maguey.
"The Absolut team have undergone an organizational change that led them to put the business up for pitch to service their new structure," said Adam Arnold, CMO at BBH, in an email. "We declined to participate. We are very proud of the work we developed together over the last four and a half years. We wish the team and Ogilvy all the very best. Absolut is a brand we will always love dearly," mentioned in the report.
