On International Tigers Day, Sony BBC Earth brings an interesting line-up of shows

Sony BBC Earth, the #1 Factual Entertainment Channel on the occasion of International Tigers Day, brings an interesting line-up of shows such as Return of the Tiger and Tiger- Spy in the Jungle, starting 11am onwards on Sunday, 29th July 2018.

RETURN OF THE TIGER

Five years ago the tigers of Sariska Reserve, India, were completely wiped out by poachers. It was a huge setback in the war to save this treasured species from extinction – but now conservationists are fighting back. This beautiful blue chip film follows a female tiger and a hot-blooded male over 18 months as they try to establish their new territory, learn to hunt their prey and dodge the ever-present threat of poachers.

TIGER- SPY IN THE JUNGLE

Bouldercam and a host of new spycams are on their most exciting mission yet. Carried by elephants, they film India’s most charismatic big cat deep inside the Indian jungle, uncovering the hidden wildlife that shares the tiger’s realm. This revealing programme follows the different stages of a tiger’s life from playful cubs, to learning adolescents and ultimately to young hunting adults. It also provides a unique insight into how the relationship with the other jungle animals changes as they mature including sloth bears - a rarely filmed bear with a unique character - famous for carrying its comical babies on its back, and leopards - the tiger’s major competitor.
