Onida reinstates Ogilvy India for brand communication of all categories

After having McCann Erickson as the agency, Onida gets Ogilvy India back on board for its brand communication of all categories. There was no pitch involved and Ogily was chosen on the basis of creative and planning depth available at the agency. The creative mandates of Onida mobile lies with Ogilvy's sibling Meridian Communications. The account size is estimated at Rs. 100 crore for the entire business.

Onida's devil has always been in the forefront helping the brand create a unique identity in the 90s. After seeing a drop in sales when they stopped using their iconic devil brand face, Onida reintroduced the devil in 2004. Rediffusion Y&R created the then Devil campaign

Mindshare India is the media agency for the entire MIRC Electronics, the makers of Onida and IGO range of products. Onida is present across seven categories that include LCDs, DVD players, microwaves, washing machines, air conditioners and mobiles today.
