Palki Sharma Upadhyay likely to lead Network18’s upcoming multi-platform video project

Palki Sharma Upadhyay, the former managing editor and face of WION News channel, is likely to be appointed by the Network18 Group to lead its upcoming multi-platform video initiative.

Though there is still no clarity on the joining modalities of Sharma but it is rumoured that she going to undertake a big ticket ambitious project for the group- something that may redefine the news genre, sources said.

Sources said that Sharma is in advanced discussions with the network and the date of her joining is likely to be announced soon.

Network18 group has been aggressively investing in building new products and platforms, along with hiring the top talent in editorial, technology and products.

In the recently released annual report of the company, it was mentioned that the group was taking initiatives to make the news business future ready and expansive.
