Pankaj Tripathi shows Kirana owners ease of doing business on udaan

udaan, India’s largest B2B ecommerce platform has unveiled its first digital video campaign focused on Kirana shop owners for the Food-FMCG category. The campaign highlights the ease of doing business for kirana store owners using the udaan App. This campaign is part of the plan undertaken by udaan to expand its footprint in the Food-FMCG category across the country, while revolutionizing the way kirana shop owners currently source their daily stocks.

Conceptualized by McCann World group Bangalore, the commercial features renowned bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi as the owner of Gupta Kirana store, a user and strong advocate of udaan. His neighbour, also a store owner operating in the same category, is intrigued by the fact that Gupta gets new stock delivered every day and goes to meet Gupta. Gupta then educates the unaware Kirana store owner about udaan’s offerings both at the product and service level and gives him the confidence to buy stock for his shop on udaan.

The film aims to change the way Kirana stores have been doing business by leveraging technology and, thereby, open the doors to more profits. The film is currently released on udaan’s digital handles.

Sharing his thoughts on the campaign, Suvid Bajaj, Marketing, udaan said “We are currently in the process of significantly expanding the geographical footprint of our Food-FMCG business. This campaign is a part of our strategy to enhance awareness about how udaan is promoting ease of doing business leveraging technology. It is also aimed at educating our new customers about the various benefits of associating with udaan and generating more profits.”

“Technology is like magic. And the technology behind the udaan App makes it possible for shop owners & retailers to do business with ease. Helping them grow it & be more profitable. This is the magic our film depicts.” said Sambit Mohanty, Head of Creative (South), McCann Worldgroup
