Parle Agro launches 'Hippo World Toasties'

Parle Agro, the largest Indian food and Beverage Company, has added a new range of munchies to its snack brand Hippo. Called ‘World Toasties’, these baked munchies are inspired from some of the most delicious and popular flavours from countries around the world.
 
The first set of six flavours to be launched is Spanish Hot & Sweet Tomato, Thai Chilli Garlic, Greek Yoghurt, Cream & Onion, Mexican Cheese & Spicy Jalapeno, Afghani Tawa Masala and Desi Chatpatta. While the inspiration is from different corners of the world, the flavours are made keeping the Indian palate in mind. Well-spiced and flavoursome, all six flavours are sure to delight the young and the old alike.
 
Speaking about the launch of Hippo World Toasties, Nadia Chauhan, Joint Managing Director & CMO, Parle Agro, said, “Parle Agro is a name that is synonymous with constant innovation in the F&B segment. Hippo World Toasties has been launched in a variety of international flavours with the intention of gratifying a wide range of Indian palates.”
 
Apart from the taste, what truly sets Hippo World Toasties apart is its packaging. Innovative and delightful, each flavour sports the flag colours of its country of origin. Designed by Creativeland Asia, the packs maintain the core values of Hippo’s packaging - clutter-free and colourful. All in all, Hippo World Toasties’ unique packaging is sure to make them stand out on retail shelves.
 
Currently, Hippo World Toasties is available in five lakh outlets across India, including retail stores, supermarkets, modern trade and institutional outlets with the packs being priced at Rs. 5/-, Rs. 10/- and Rs. 20/-.
 
The marketing initiatives during the early phase of the launch will focus around extensive product sampling and distribution. The company is also investing in specially designed innovations to effectively display the Hippo World Toasties at various points of sale, with modern retail serving as an important link in the brand’s consumer promotion plans.
 
Creativeland Asia has specially created a thematic TVC for Hippo World Toasties bringing to life the ‘flavours without border’ concept. The TVC will hit television networks across the country by mid October.
 
With the launch of Hippo World Toasties, Parle Agro will take a huge step forward to consolidate itself in the Rs 7,500-crore Indian snacks industry, that’s growing at a rate of 20% annually.
 
The Hippo World Toasties launch continues to forward Parle Agro’s focus of pioneering and growing new categories. With Hippo World Toasties, they hope to continue to build on the category of baked wheat based snacks that they initiated with the launch of Hippo in 2009.
