Patrika completes 5 operational years in Bhopal!

Patrika, No 1 Hindi daily newspaper in Madhya Pradesh as per ABC (July-Dec 2012), celebrated the fifth Foundation Day of its establishment at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. A slew of activities were organized on 25th May – which is the day when the foundation stone of Patrika in Bhopal was laid that paved the way for the citizens there to build strong connect with credible newspaper and to look up to it for quality news and addressal of societal issues. The day saw enthusiastic participation from agents, clients etc who celebrated the occasion in their own way.

Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Kalia, Vice President, Marketing, Patrika Group said: “Patrika presence in MP is both timely and relevant. The five years of experience in Bhopal, delivering masses & classes, pursuing our duties relentlessly with humbleness and spirit of service, has again shown that the essential editorial principals with welfare approach & rights-based perspective, when guide the implementation of efforts, ensures sustainable growth. He recollected the incomparable contributions made by Patrika to address societal issues over the period and the steady progress being made by the Group in its business inspite of various hurdles caused in the business process.”

Further, he stressed upon various strategic plans & quality initiatives drawn by the company for vertical & horizontal penetration in the territories and to improve its business in all its business verticals, with optimistic way forward to attain new benchmarks of growth & achievement during the year 2013-14.

Patrika rolled on the celebration with Sarva Dharm Sabha, inviting gurus from various dharmas, Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism & Christianity. This sabha is conducted once every year on the occasion of Foundation Day. While addressing the employees and people on the occasion, Dharam Gurus appreciated the work done by Patrika in short span of 5 years and it’s close bond common man. The Sabha was followed by Blood Donation Camp wherein Dharam Gurus appealed the people to donate blood for a noble cause. This camp is a start of a mission for organizing various blood donation camps in various parts of city. The office building wore a new look with lights & décor.

In addition to the editorial features, Patrika organized initiatives to increase readers’ engagement including participation through ‘Stories’, ‘Poems’, ‘Painting’, ‘Cartoons’ and ‘Shero-shayari.’ There was a large participation from people. Every participant was given a gift.

The agents celebrated the day with great affection for the newspaper & for the people associated with it. Various corporate clients visited the centers. Cakes were cut and sweets were distributed and gifts were distributed to vendors, followed by fireworks at night. The hawkers were given accidental insurance.

Activities conducted were directed towards bringing a sense of responsible citizenship & credible journalism. The celebration shall mark the beginning of a new decade, a new century, a new era, and a new lifetime.

Patrika is the fastest growing newspaper in MP, IRS 2012 Q3 vs Q4. As per Indian Readership Survey (IRS) fourth quarter report 2012, released recently, Patrika is the only publication in Madhya Pradesh to have added AIR while the rest amongst the major publications, including its closest competitors, show decline in AIR.
