PayU launches PayUnow, a payment portal with its campaign #KaamKaNaam

PayU, the leading fin-tech player in the country, takes another step towards creating universal payment acceptance across markets with the launch of its new product PayUnow - a digital payment portal for small and medium scale businesses (SMB). The new product transforms the payment process for its users, making it more user-friendly for SMBs as well as the customers by enabling the businesses to create a personalized business page, where customers can easily pay using multiple payment options. The product also enables the SMBs to showcase their services, products and offerings. PayU has launched a unique campaign #KaamKaNaam to promote its PayUnow offering on digital platforms.

The campaign revolves around the significance of a name in the life of a business & highlights the hardships a businessman has to face while accepting multiple payment methods. It brings out the need for a one-stop solution across multiple business categories through the story of hardships faced in three business sectors- tours & travels, education & IT solutions.

The campaign launches with a lead film that tells the story of a travel agent, a teacher and an IT service provider whose businesses are facing hardships due to several payment problems - No NEFT transactions on bank holidays or Sunday, exceeding limit of wallets and PoS machines not operating smoothly. The relatable plot of the film has a humorous tonality which targets the B2B market in a unique way & speaks to them in their own voice.

Speaking on the new campaign, Nameet Potnis, Vice President – Marketing and Business Head, PayUnow said, “We understand that a true metric of a growing business for SMBs is the fact that their name is well established and that their customers are aware of all their products and offerings. Through this film, we want to highlight how PayUnow enables SMBs by providing a digital payment platform and creating a customized business page for them".

The digital first creative agency, 'The Glitch' has worked on this campaign. The fresh & informational take on the film intriguingly conveys the message of #KaamKaNaam giving a unique identity to businesses. This innovative approach taken by PayUnow breaks the clutter of monotonous B2B advertising & helps to establish their 'Kaam Ka Naam'.

Kabir Kochhar, Business Head, The Glitch Media Pvt. Ltd. said, “In conceiving the #KaamKaNaam campaign, our intent was to take a straightforward offering and make it as relatable as possible. We used humor to amplify genuine business problems while hero-ing the strength of the merchant’s brand name. This would ensure that merchants in our TG secure their unique payment website as a source of both convenience and brand identification.”
