Pearl Grey's 'not-on-work' side revealed!

Pearl Grey's passion of writing and producing shows has been quite evident. Under her production house banner Spellbound Productions, Grey has shows like Pratigya (Star Plus), Pratha (Colors), Rishtey (Zee Tv) and more to her credit. Pearl has also been a part of Zee TV's in-house production team. Grey, writer/producer at Spellbound Productions also has an inclination towards traveling.

Since her passion and liking for travel is still hidden, Fox Traveller Diaries caught up with her to explore the 'not-at-work' side of her.

Fox Traveller Diaries (FTD): If there is one place you can keep going back to for a holiday, where would it be?

Pearl Grey (PG): Definitely GOA!

FTD: Tell us three good things about traveling.

PG: Exploring the unknown, local food and discovering yourself

FTD: When you travel, what is a must carry for you?
PG: My camera

FTD: When and where did your best holiday happen?

PG: London in 2008

FTD: As a traveler, what’s your tip for the others?

PG: Google everything about the place you are going to travel, keep xerox copy of your tickets and passport in case of emergency and always travel light.

FTD: A colleague/co-worker from your industry with whom you would like to go on a holiday.

PG: My business head Roopa who is also my only friend and a fun lively positive person to be with.

FTD: Have you ever been surprised by the taste of food, outside India? Where?

PG: I had Arabic food in Phuket which was extremely hot and spicy. Though I love spicy food, but it was beyond spicy. I was in tears and running nose while having it but loved it and finished it all!

FTD: What and where has been your best bazaar bargain so far?

PG: Best place to shop like mad has been Bangkok and Singapore.

FTD: Which has been the most unique destination that you ever visited. When and why?

PG: James Bond and Phi Phi island were extraordinarily unique in Phuket. Seeing what nature can do is amazing.

FTD: Tell us how have you managed to make a journey fun.

PG: Without planning and suddenly taking off to a country which has visa on arrival without any hotel reservation and for a very short time has always been more adventurous and fun.

FTD: A gourmet gaffe that you would like to share.

PG: Nothing in particular.

FTD: What has been your worst travel moment? Why?

PG: In London, when I was walking with friends in Piccadilly looking for a restaurant to have dinner. When I saw a black guy running frantically from something and few people running after him to catch him and he straight came to me and caught hold of me and dragged me inside a restaurant with him, wanting to keep me on ransom so he could be freed. But luckily, the way he held me and took me inside the restaurant was so fast that we fell as we went inside and everyone pounced on him and caught him. I was left shivering, but saved!

FTD: What is the best souvenir you ever bought for anyone?

PG: Sweets from Egypt, which all my loved ones still remember
