&Pictures to premiere Ranbir-Deepika starrer 'Tamasha' on June 25 at 8.30 pm

&pictures, India's premium mass Hindi movie channel will premiere yet another Blockbuster - ‘Tamasha’ on Saturday, 25th June at 8:30 PM. One big reason why this film is a MUST WATCH on &pictures, is the 15 minutes of bonus scenes of the movie that were not present in the theatrical release. The eight bonus scenes will be telecast during the movie along with exclusive insights from the director – Imtiaz Ali only on &pictures.

Speaking about the movie, Imtiaz Ali commented, “The thought behind the movie comes from the fact that some people are not used to their full potential if they find their calling. I believe all individuals ranging from an auto rickshaw driver to a liftman, or an executive working in a multi-national company, all have a different side to their lives that is unknown. We all see the exterior traits, but, beyond this outer façade lies a different person, a man of different sensibilities, a man who seeks to be recognized but can’t and in Tamasha, Ved (Ranbir Kapoor) is one such person.”

Directed by the luminous Imtiaz Ali, the Deepika Padukone & Ranbir Kapoor starrer is about the journey of someone who has lost his edge and trying to behave according to socially acceptable conventions. It is based on the central theme of abrasion and loss of self that happens as one attempts to fit in society. Shot in the exotic locations of Corsica, Tokyo, Delhi, Shimla and Kolkata, the movie revolves around Ved (Ranbir Kapoor) and his unfulfilled passions. A demanding father sets Ved upon a path that is not of his own choice. Turns out that the obedient, well-behaved boy that Ved used to be has grown into an obedient, well-behaved young adult, but that does not do him any good. The break-through comes when he meets Tara (Deepika Padukone) and the real Ved emerges, putting his yes-sir, no-sir, three-bags-full-sir robotic existence behind him, venturing into a world of fun and frolic. But will he discover his true self and his calling in the process?
