PIX all set to bring action-horror franchise's 'Underworld Awakening'

Kate Beckinsale is back as Selene, the fearless Vampire fighting elite known as Death Dealer in ‘Underworld Awakening’. The fourth installment from the blockbuster action-horror franchise ‘Underworld’ will make its television debut as this month’s Super PIX on September 22, 2012 at 9 pm on PIX. 

 

This latest installment from the Underworld series extends the mythos and sustains the excitement of its predecessors. Beckinsale slips back into the latex suit to resume Selene's battle as ‘Death Dealer’ in the centuries-long covert battle between vampires and werewolves (aka Lycans).

Humans discover the existence of the Vampire and Lycan species and they begin a war to eradicate both the races. When Selene (Kate Beckinsale) meets with Michael (Scott Speedman), they are hit by a grenade which knocks out Selene. Twelve years later, Selene awakes from a cryogenic sleep in the Antigen laboratory and meets the Vampire David. She learns that she had been the subject of the scientist Dr. Jacob Lane (Stephen Rea) and the Vampire and Lycan species have been nearly eradicated. 

 

But Selene is still connected to Michael and has visions that she believes belongs to Michael's sight. However, she’s in for a surprise when finds that she has a daughter named Eve (India Eisley) who has been raised in the laboratory. Now Selene and David have to protect Eve against the Lycans who intend to use her to immunize their species against the deadly silver nitrate bombs.
