Poll week data: News18 India No 1, AajTak in third spot

 News18 India has once again dominated the Hindi news segment in the country, outperforming its competitors in terms of market share during election week.
As per BARC data, News18 India has outperformed top news channels such as TV9 Bharatvarsh, India TV, Aaj Tak and Republic Bharat with a market share of 15.2% (BARC; market share% 24 hrs, TG: 15+, HSM, Wk 49’22 All days).
The channel stayed 12% ahead of Aaj Tak in the week Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh went to polls and results were announced.
According to the latest BARC data, the market share of TV9 Bharatvarsh stood at 13.0%, whereas the market share of India TV is at 13.7% and Aaj Tak stood at 13.6% and Republic Bharat at 11.5%, respectively.
Additionally, News18 remained ahead of competition in prime time.As per the BARC ratings (BARC; market share% 1800- 2400 hrs, TG: 15+, HSM, Wk 49’22 All days) News18 is 13% ahead of Aaj Tak where it secured 15.4% market share, followed by India TV and AajTak with 13.8% and 13.7% market share respectively.
To ensure that the content and presentation of News18 remain unique and far ahead of its competition, the network has invested heavily in both technology and editorial resources. News18 brands have enjoyed strong traction across YouTube and social media platforms as their views have grown steadily.
