Portea Medical appoints Vaibhav Tewari as Co-founder & Member of Board

Portea Medical, India’s largest outside of hospital consumer healthcare company, today announced the appointment of Mr Vaibhav Tewari as its Co-founder and Member of Board.

 Since 2013, Vaibhav has been serving as the COO of the organisation and led various initiatives in this capacity. He is a key member of the leadership team at Portea along with founders Meena Ganesh and K Ganesh, having been instrumental in conceptualizing the organisation, even before it was incorporated.

 Vaibhav has not only helped build the organization but also been responsible for driving several innovations such as point-of-care and remote monitoring of patients, a customer engagement programme (an industry-first in-home healthcare) and disease-specific offerings etc. Under his leadership, Portea Medical has gone through several pivots and added new dimensions to its offerings year on year.

 During the ongoing pandemic, Vaibhav conceptualized and executed remote monitoring solutions in partnership with state governments, RWAs and corporates. This has not only reduced the burden on hospitals but also ensured that there is timely testing and detection of COVID-19, further enabling in-home isolation and treatment.

 Speaking about this, Meena Ganesh, MD and CEO, Portea Medical, said, “We are glad to have Vaibhav as a co-founder and member of the board at Portea. His strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic have helped us support over 170,000 people who tested positive with consultations and monitoring at home. In addition to this, he has also co-led other initiatives such as the Portea COVID Armour. We look forward to better growth prospects going forward under this leadership.”

 Vaibhav has over 20 years of extensive experience in building new businesses across industries such as healthcare, business process outsourcing, technology, and supply chain management. He is an accomplished speaker and has presented his views on various topics at forums/events such as InterOp, CII, TiE, and Cloud Connect; and has numerous papers and articles to his credit. He is also actively involved in mentoring entrepreneurs; and serves as a Board of Director, Advisor and Mentor to many fast-growing companies across Internet, Retail Consumer and Technology verticals. Vaibhav has also been a judge and mentor at many Industry events like Power of Ideas (ET), TiE Entrepreneurship events, NEN, IBM SmartCamp, Women Entrepreneurship Quest, IITK fest and SLP etc. He is a regular guest lecturer at leading management schools in India
