Post-IPL, Sony beefs up its content line-up with a slew of new shows

With Vivo IPL 2016 coming to a thrilling end yesterday, May 29, which saw Sunrisers Hyderabad win the trophy, beating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 8 runs, Sony Pictures Networks is now all geared to beef up its content line-up with a slew of new shows.

Courtroom crime drama ‘Adaalat 2’ will be back on air in a completely new avatar from June 4 at 8 pm. The second season of the series will air on Saturdays and Sundays. Ronit Roy returns as KD Pathak. The show aims at restoring the power of jurisdiction by emphasising on the thought “Raay rakhne ka adhikar sabko hai, par nyay karne ka sirf Adaalat ko” (While everyone has the right to having an opinion, only the court has the right to do justice).

Also in the pipeline is romantic thriller ‘Behad’, which features Jennifer Winget and Kushal Tandon in lead roles. Both Winget and Tandon are making their fiction comebacks with diverse roles. Winget will be seen as an anti-heroine, whereas Tandon will play a double role.

‘Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhania’ is a cute and quirky love story starring Priyanshu Jora in the lead, where his 14-member family is on the lookout for the perfect bride for him.

Kids dance reality show, ‘India’s Super Dancer’, is also in the offing. The show, which will be judged by Shilpa Shetty along with another judge, will focus on the future of dancing.

‘Ek Rishta Saajhedaari Ka’ is television and film producer Kavita Barjatya’s maiden fiction show for her new production house, Kavita Barjatya Productions. With the show, the viewers will embark on a beautiful journey of its lead actors Kinshuk Vadiya and Shivya Pathania’s life post-marriage.
