Prabhu Chawla plans TV comeback with new Hindi news channel

Prabhu Chawla, veteran journalist and Editorial Director, The New Indian Express and The Sunday Standard, took to Twitter to announce his next venture – a new Hindi news channel.

This would mark Chawla’s return to television. He had been the host of popular chat show ‘Seedhi Baat’ on Aaj Tak for over nine years.

On April 12, 2016, Chawla had tweeted: “Ideas and suggestions for a soon to go on air new Hindi news channel are welcome from all of you”. He further tweeted that he was part of the team of the new channel and added that it “will be on air within few weeks”. He further tweeted: “It will fear none and favour none (except on merit)” and used the hashtag #PCTV.

In addition, the veteran journalist tweeted: “Aaj Tak is my golden past. Am aiming for a diamond future even if lasts for a short period.”
