Prashanth Challapalli quits Contract as Executive Vice President

Prashanth Challapalli, Executive Vice President, Contract India, has put in his papers. Announcing his exit from the agency on January 6, Challapalli wrote on on his Facebook wall, “Three and a half years of love, passion, fun and late nights. So many wins, so many people, so many friends”. 

He had joined Contract India in 2013 from Jack in the Box Worldwide, where he was Business Head. At Contract, inheriting a team of four people and two brands, Challapalli built a team of 45+ digital specialists across three offices handling 20 blue chip brands. With a great team work, they have grown the topline by over 600 per cent with a profit margin that’s one of the highest in the digital agency business and in the process created a truly integrated business model that bakes digital into the heart of the creative offering of Contract Advertising. 

A veteran in the digital space, Challapalli helped set up and grow Jack in the Box Worldwide (JITB), after having spent over 11 years in media sales, entertainment marketing and advertising. In the four years that he was with JITB, he led its evolution into a multi-award winning and highly respected integrated communications company. This included offerings like digital marketing and digital video content production, social media management, activation, SEO & ORM, media planning and buying and web development services to some of the biggest blue chip brands in India and Singapore.  He has a deep understanding of communications, media, technology and entertainment having helped incubate and launch digital and entertainment properties within the group apart from heading Jack in the Box. 

In the course of his career, Challapalli has worked with some of the leading brands and agencies like Ogilvy, Lowe, Rediffusion Y&R, Dentsu and Publicis to name a few. He is credited with winning more than 20 National and International awards for work on brands like Sony Music (Kolaveri Di), Puma (Pimp Your Sole), Pepsi and Louis Philippe.
