PTC Network launches Virtual Reality 360-degree Live telecast

Sultanpur Lodhi, November 12: PTC Network, which has carved a niche in the Indian television industry with live telecast of Gurbani every morning and evening from Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, has come up with yet another special gift for viewers in the form of Virtual Reality 360 Degree Live Telecast. The ceremonial inauguration of this service was conducted at Sultanpur Lodhi by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Chief Bhai Gobind Singh Longowal and Managing Director, PTC Network, Rabindra Narayan. 

According to Mr Rabindra Narayan, this is the world’s first everyday virtual reality 360 Degree Live Telecast service. People who watch the live telecast of the Gurbani from Sri Darbar Sahib using this technology will feel as if they are physically present inside the sacred premises. This spiritually divine facility is available for free on Jio TV and PTC Play App. To enjoy this surreal experience, viewers will just have to wear the V R Gear over their eyes and start the service on their mobile phones. Immediately, they will feel as if they have been transported mind, body and soul to Sri Darbar Sahib and the Gurbani is being sung right in front of them. 

What makes this service unique is the fact that unlike before, viewers will actually be brought closer to Sri Darbar Sahib than ever before. The sense of physical distance, which rankled them before, will be done away with completely. PTC Network launched the path breaking everyday Virtual Reality 360 Degree Live Telecast service in response to viewers’ collective longing to be at Sri Darbar Sahib. The first of its kind service has received widespread appreciation. 

PTC has been airing all major religious ceremonies through virtual reality 360 degree live telecast since 2016. Now, the network has emerged as the pioneer in the use of this technology for live telecast of Gurbani from Sri Darbar Sahib.
