Publicis China acquires Wiredcraft

Wiredcraft, a technology and digital product consultancy company, is going to be acquired by the Publicis Groupe China. Wiredcraft has offices in Singapore and Shanghai, with a focus on APAC and China. This agreement is going to yield in the digital transformation capabilities of the Publicis Groupe in China, with more than 100 people who are experts in engineering, design and technology. This acquisition is going to link Wiredcraft to the surviving Publicis Sapient, Edge (a data, technology and insights division) and Digitas. In total, 600 individuals will work for Publicis in China in the areas of consulting and digital technology. Wiredcraft's founder and CEO, Ronan Berder, stated that this agreement will allow his company to extend its capabilities in APAC and China. Wiredcraft's expansion into  health FMCG and fintech will be aided by Publicis' portfolio of partners.

"With sales channels disrupted, brands are seeking a more strong digital environment ready for growth," said CEO of Publicis Groupe North Asia and managing partner of Publicis Groupe APAC, Jane Lin-Baden. "Publicis is hoping to house the most resilient technology and data team of any agency holding group in China with Publicis Sapient, Digitas, Edge and Wirecraft." Berder will head Wiredcraft, which will also include technology director Juha Suomalainen, and product director Quentin Berder, China CEO Vincent Viallet.  Berder will be located in Singapore to drive the company's expansion across APAC, while Viallet will oversee the China operation from Shanghai. Berder will be reporting to Lin-Baden. Wiredcraft was founded in 2009 and has since built digital solutions for global businesses in a variety of industries, including fashion, hospitality, luxury, automobiles, and more. Customer loyalty data, direct-to-consumer ecommerce, and digital transformation are all topics covered by the consultancy's solutions.
