PVR Pictures brings Hollywood film, ‘RAMBO: LAST BLOOD’ to India

PVR Pictures Limited, the movie Distribution and Syndication arm of PVR Limited - the largest cinema exhibition company in India, brings the iconic Rambo franchise to India with its fifth and final series, ‘Rambo: Last Blood’. The international classic is set for a global release on 20th September 2019. In India, PVR Pictures in partnership with MVP is releasing the film nationwide across 1000 plus screens in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telegu.

The franchise incepted in 1982 with its roots in the 1972 novel, First Blood by David Morrell will be giving its fifth and final release with ‘Rambo: Last Blood’. For over three decades Rambo series have retained its mass connect becoming one of the most successful franchises in Hollywood clocking a gross box office of $727 million dollar. Regarded as one of the greatest action heroes of all time, Sylvester Stallone co-wrote the screenplays of all five films, and directed ‘Rambo’.

He further added, “The excitement for the release of Rambo: Last Blood is massive amongst the Indian audiences. After the success of Avengers: Endgame in India, the last project of Rambo series will certainly receive an overwhelming response.”

In the last few months we released tent-pole Hollywood film such as Gerard Butlers blockbuster action-thriller franchise ‘Angel Has Fallen’. Further, Dave Bautista’s ‘My Spy’, ‘21 Bridges’, Benedict Cumberbatch & Tom Holland’s ‘The Current War’ and big-budget productions such as ‘47 Meters Down- Uncaged’, ‘Kill Team’, ‘Midway’ and, ‘Brahms: The Boy II’, are slated for FY 2019-20 release.
