Quikr App to be pre-loaded on Nokia phones in India

Quikr (www.quikr.com), the leader in horizontal classifieds in India, will today showcase its capabilities at Nokia World 2011, a prestigious global industry event being held in London. Pranay Chulet, CEO, Quikr will take part in "The Rise of the planet of the Apps", a power packed panel discussion today on the burgeoning app economy and the opportunity it offers to developers across the globe. Quikr also showcased its app at Nokia World. Quikr offers a web and mobile-based classifieds platform that addresses a wide variety of local commerce needs. More than 18 million consumers across India visit Quikr every month to sell, buy, rent or find things ranging from laptops to mobile phones to cars to real estate to jobs and everything in between.

Over the last two years, the company has successfully transformed itself from an online to online & mobile leader by building Quikr Mobile, its platform that spans across mobile browsers, apps and text messaging.

Quikr has also collaborated with Nokia on developing apps for the Symbian and Windows Phone 7 platforms and its apps are also available for download from the Nokia Store for Nokia consumers.
