Rajdeep Sardesai shares his journalistic endeavours, launches 'Breaking Views'

Senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai has been in the media circuit for a while following his exit from the TV18 group and the speculations that followed regarding his next endeavour. However, new is that he has now launched his own website titled ‘Breaking Views’ with a tagline- ‘Credibility over chaos’.

Sardesai’s twitter handle @sardesairajdeep is also embedded in the website to allow users directly a look into his timeline on the micro-blogging site. In his welcome message ‘Let the journey begin!’

In his welcome message, he said, “This personal website is a space to share my journalism with you, to share my videos, blogs and columns. I belong to what I can best describe as a ‘penumbral’ generation of journalists: those who started in print, gradually moved to television, and are slowly coming to terms with the digital age. We are now in an age where content can be shared across platforms and where the gap between the journalist and the viewer/reader/netizen is constantly shrinking. While inclusive and interactive journalism is the way forward, a personal website to share news and views is part of that process. As I said, I am still unfamiliar with the demands of modern technology but am very keen to understand how the world of communication is changing. I am neither a curator of news nor a technology geek: I am an old-fashioned newshound with a view. And that’s what this website will seek to do: create a space for robust opinion and a sharing of thoughts in the spirit of true democracy.”

While reports are that he has finished writing his first book titled ‘2014 The Election That Changed India’ is set to release in November this year, his next move in the media circuit is yet unknown.
