Raktim Das moves out of News X

Raktim Das, who held the position of President at News X has called it quits at the channel. Ending a short stint of 10 months at the channel, Das put in his papers at the channel last month in June 2014. Das has confirmed the news to Adgully.

Das holds illustrious experience of close to 20 years as a media professional across television, newspaper and magazine business, having held leadership positions in strategy, marketing, brand building and advertising sales management.

As a President of English news channel - NewsX, he was responsible for the channel’s operations and providing strategic direction for brand and business development.  Prior, to his stint with News X, Das was with Zee where he was the Senior VP & Business Head of the network’s business news channel - Zee Business and later the Head of Strategy, Zee Media Corp. In the print media space, he worked with the India Today group & the Times of India group and launched some of the most revered global media brands in India like HBR, Men's Health, Scientific American.
