Ravi Rao resigns as CEO of GroupM MENA

Ravi Rao has stepped down as CEO of GroupM MENA after more than three years in the position. On LinkedIn, the senior media executive announced his retirement from GroupM MENA. "Thank you so much. To be continued, "he remarked in response to remarks on LinkedIn regarding his departure.

Rao came to GroupM MENA from Mindshare MENA, where he served as CEO. Rao was the agency's Chief Client Officer for nine months before becoming CEO of Mindshare MENA.

Rao relocated from India to Dubai in May 2015. He was Mindshare's Leader - South Asia before heading to Dubai. Prior to joining Mindshare, he was Team Unilever South Asia Leader.

Rao, an experienced media expert with three decades of experience, spent nearly seven years with Omnicom Media Group (MENA) until September 2008.

He started out with Lintas India before going on to Impact BBDO. In July 1999, he joined Mindshare MENA as Director, Head of Middle East and North Africa.
