RBNL going BIG on regional entertainment, introduces "Bangla TV Biggies'

Reliance Broadcast Network's radio arm 92.7 BIG FM and its experiential marketing arm BIG Live have joined hands once again set to celebrate and promote regional entertainment with a new offering "Bangla TV Biggies', an exclusive platform for Bangla TV viewers to recognize and honour their favourite Bangla TV personalities. After receiving acclaim and recognition for "BIG Bangla Music Awards 2010', the multi-media company plans to launch a "viewer's choice" television awards for Bengal. Guinea Lite Refined Sunflower Oil from Raj Oil Mills is the presenting sponsor for the awards.

Bangla TV Biggies' will be chaired by prominent jury names from the Bangla television & film industry including eminent television, film & theatre actor & producer Kheyali Dastidar, compere beyond compare Madhumanti Maitra and the supremely talented DOP Soumik Haldar who has worked on films such as Autograph and Thana Theke Ashchi, who will ensure utmost transparency for the nomination process.

"Bangla TV Biggies' will see all Reliance Broadcast Network's media verticals coming into play to recognize and honour the viewer's favourites from the galaxy of Bangla TV stars who have made a special place for themselves in the viewer's hearts.

The promotion campaign has already kicked off and in the coming days will see the Bangla television industry come forward to campaign for themselves or their colleagues on 92.7 BIG FM Kolkata & Asansol. Promoting the awards on ground, there will be canter activation, mall activation & RWA activation in and around Kolkata as well as ballot boxes placed at alliance outlets.

Online promotions will see a dedicated microsite where viewers can cast their votes and catch up on all the Awards excitement, besides emailers and SMS push in the region.

It will also be supported with an outdoor & print campaign.

The grand finale, scheduled for December 12, 2010 will witness a gala awards night graced by stalwarts from the Bangla television and entertainment industry and will be aired on ETV Bangla as a special offering.

Apart from the "Bangla TV Biggies', Reliance Broadcast Network Limited also plans to honour talent across the Marathi & Kannada television industry.
