Red FM to award the most popular song on its network

Based on the inspiring thought of Music being the universal language, the first ever edition of the Chevrolet Global Indian Music Awards (GiMA) has been formulated to recognize and acknowledge the Indian music & musicians. RED FM, the station for expression, will execute the mandate of being the official radio partner at this prestigious event and will power the Chevrolet GiMA "Most Popular Song on Red FM' award.

RED FM is giving its listeners across the country the chance to vote for the most popular Bollywood song. The winner of this category will be chosen via a public voting system inviting participation from the RED FM listeners. The five songs in running for the award are All is well- 3 Idiots; Dhan ta na- Kaminey; Tera Hone Lagaa Hoon ' Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani and Tere Naina ' My Name is Khan. Listeners can send their votes via SMS to 58558 or log on to www.gima.co.in to cast their votes. Voting ended on 30th October '10. These votes will be audited by Ernst & Young. Select Red FM listeners also get the chance to witness the award ceremony live.

Subramanium, Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma, Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan, Prasoon Joshi, Pritam, Karan Johar, Mukesh Bhatt, Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra, Shekhar, Leslie Lewis, Talat Aziz, Usha Uthup, Resul Pookutty, Sulaiman Merchant, Kumar Taurani, Apurv Nagpal and Atul Churamani, amongst others. The jury is further divided into a film, technical and non-film jury.
