RepIndia’s ‘India’s Next Beardo’ Campaign for Beardo Turns Heads on Instagram

What do men love more than their beards? Flaunting their beards! The team noticed comments and DMs of Beardos asking to be featured on the page and be a part of the community. The team activated the community at large and started a league for Beardos who would become micro influencers for the brand. 

This insight came true in Beardo’s hunt for ‘India’s Next Beardo’ – a social media contest, conceptualised by advertising agency RepIndia, to give thousands of Beardo fans on Instagram a platform to not only flaunt their beard but also win stunning titles like India’s Next Beardo 2021 (main title), and category titles like Mr. Good Looks, Sexiest Hair, Mr. Hot Bod, and Beard God

The audience participated in a UGC Contest where they had to share an Instagram post featuring their rock-solid beard, tag the brand and capture the most votes. The winner would get a year’s worth of free Beardo products and a modelling contract!

The hype was real as it turned out to be a great social media campaign for the brand which garnered 3000+ entries in just two weeks! Finally, 24 finalists were shortlisted, who contested with each other through Instagram Polls, allowing others a chance to vote for their favourites. 

With this campaign, RepIndia and Beardo reaffirmed the power of user-generated content in driving brand visibility and authenticity.
