Republic TV CEO Vikas Khanchandani steps down

Vikas Khanchandani has stepped down from Republic TV as the CEO. He joined Republic in January 2017 , five months prior to the launch of Republic TV. A statement from the channel said that his dedication to getting the TV organisation to be a profitable business in a short period paid off and he has been instrumental in building an extremely profitable news network.

"Five years in the organisation the business has expanded from a single channel to a network of three successful news brands across languages. His unwavering belief that digital is the way forward has helped the organisation carve out new avenues in its digital operations under Republic World. The network under his tenure adopted unique distribution, marketing and monetisation strategy that made the independent channels profitable within its first year of operations. The network has been expanding its digital distribution across connected devices and smart TVs ensuring that Republic will be future-ready. The network also built an effective content marketing business vertical into a large scale independent and profitable business under Republic Fluid," said the statement
