Watch the trailer:

‘Masaba Masaba’ is a series based on fashion designer Masaba Gupta and her mother, veteran actress Neena Gupta.

The film narrates the numerous moods of the temperamental Masaba, who is a fashion stylist. As the plot begins to roll, we see Masaba trying to place together a show, stuck between financial crisis and husband divorcing her.

The series is predictable as everyone knows about Masaba and Neena Gupta’s life, be it the famous Instagram post, which was posted by Neena Gupta looking for job or the gossips about Masaba’s life. It is a little disappointing as we were expecting to see more about Masaba’s childhood and how it was for her as a child born out of wedlock to a Black father and Indian mother. We wanted to know more about the independent Masaba and what inspires her work, rather than the stuff we already know.

Despite this, Masaba and Neena Gupta have given us a few really good mother-daughter moments, which gives the viewers an emotional connect.
