Rimmi Harindran joins Kellogg as Sr Director for Corporate Relations

After over 12 years with Merck Group, Rimmi Harindran has joined Kellogg as senior director for corporate relations throughout Asia, the Middle East, and Africa (AMEA).

Harindran most recently served as regional communications head for Asia-Pacific, with responsibility for 12 countries, and worldwide head of communications for Merck's cardiology, metabolism, and endocrinology unit. She has held top communications positions with the firm in Germany and India, and she co-founded the Merck Women in Leadership (WIL) Asia Council, where she oversaw the organisation's diversity and inclusion strategy.

She fills the post held by Shweta Shukla at Kellogg, who left for Unilever last year. Harindran reports to Kellogg AMEA president Shumit Kapoor.

At Kellogg, Harindran is responsible for communications, ESG, government relations, and industry relations for AMEA. She also belongs to the leadership teams for regional and international corporate affairs, both of which are run by Kris Bahner.

Harindran has previously worked with Monsanto (now Bayer), The Heroes Project (Richard Gere’s foundation for HIV/AIDS awareness funded by the Gates Foundation), and PR agencies including Genesis Burson–Marsteller. She is also the co-lead of the Singapore Chapter of the Asia Pacific Association of Communications Directors (APACD).
