RockeTalk opens APIs to third party developers

RockeTalk, the leading mobile social media network, announced that the company has opened its interactive API's to the third party developers for the first time. Anagha Communications is the first company to build a subscription based rich content distribution application on RockeTalk's technologically advanced platform.

Introduced as a part of "Muharram on Mobile' campaign, aimed at bringing the sermons, lectures or Majlises, to people in remote areas and those who are far away and cannot attend the Majlis by their favourite Maulana, it uses the many solutions RockeTalk's extensive multimedia platform has to offer. To facilitate this, scratch cards issued at Rs.100 have been distributed to access the service that permits mobile phone users to hear and view religious sermons delivered during Muharram through live video and audio feeds. These feeds include various Majlis, Marsiyas, Nohas, Juloos and Matam. This special service is available across operators and handsets in India and worldwide; and has already started to receive an overwhelming response from the users. Since its launch last week, over 10,000+ cards have already been distributed in the market.

Through these unique scratch cards the members of the Shia community across the globe can tune in to a `Majlis' organised by their preferred Shia cleric on their GPRS enabled phone (https://wap.muharram.in) or call into an IVR number +914030512840. And that's not all... Simultaneously an iPhone application, Shia Muharram, is also available on the Apple Appstore and has been well received by users globally.

The longer Majlis (lectures) are served as audio content, while `Nohay' and `Marsia', elegies recounting the tale of Imam Hussain's sacrifice at Karbala, are offered as both video and audio content depending on the user's phone's capability.

"We were on a look out for a platform which is powered with voice enabled and multi-media features that could provide a cutting edge technology and the capability to break through the diversity of mobile phones and the language barriers. After in-depth research we decided to launch this unique initiative on RockeTalk's platform. We feel privileged to be the first to use RockeTalk's unique and interactive features of voice and video blogs directly from mobile phone, sending of photos and video clips and live multimedia discussion forums are being appreciated by our users." said Sandeep Singh, Anagha Communications. He further added, "RockeTalk's interactive array of services where users communicate in their voice is making RockeTalk very popular in smaller cities and towns across India and is gaining momentum as an underground revolution. We are confident that this will help us accomplish our goals of reach and end customer satisfaction."

"We are happy to extend our domain expertise and industry knowledge for enhancing the outreach efficiency of Anagha Communications. We are confident that this association will not only provide a value maximizing edge to the mobile users, but it will also enable other developers to utilize the RockeTalk platform for maximising their business and penetration opportunities." said Rajiv Kumar, Founder & CEO, RockeTalk.

In addition to being interactive, the RockeTalk platform is turning out to be an extremely cost effective alternative for the users. While each majlis' continues for at least 1 hour, interested members can now hear and see the maulanas in the `majlis' by buying a card of just Rs. 100. This card is valid for the entire duration of the Muharram (40 days).
