Rohit Bansal steps down as non-executive director of TV18

TV18 Broadcast has informed the BSE that Rohit Bansal resigned as an additional non-executive director on its Board of Directors. In a statement to the BSE, TV18 said, “Rohit Bansal has expressed his inability to continue on the Board of Directors of the Company due to his other commitments. Accordingly, he ceases to be a Director of the Company w.e.f. May 1, 2016.”

Bansal had joined the TV18 Board as additional non-executive director on January 14, 2015. The media veteran had earlier served on the Board of the News Broadcasters Association.

His earlier stints included India TV, where he was Managing Director; The Financial Express, where he was Resident Editor; and Zee News, where he was Business Editor, among others.

He had also worked as Senior Correspondent with TV18 and The Times of India.
