Rohit Purohit makes a comeback after 2 years in ‘Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii’

Challenging stereotypes, Sony Entertainment Television’s upcoming medical drama, ‘Dhadkan Zindagii Kii’ presents an inspiring story of Dr. Deepika’s journey, an independent woman who challenges patriarchy beginning right from her family, society and her workplace to fulfil her dreams. A major challenge in Dr. Deepika’s journey will be the character of Dr. Vikrant portrayed by actor Rohit Purohit. The popular model turned television star will be seen portraying a character with multiple layers as he makes a comeback to television after a span of 2 years.

 Rohit Purohit said, “Dr. Vikrant is an ambitious man who likes to have everything in control. Being brought up in a family with strong patriarchal values, Vikrant feels that a woman should focus on her family life rather pursuing a career or ambitions. Playing Vikrant has been quite a challenging experience as the character has multiple layers to him. This is very intense and different from what I have done before. I connect with the character on certain matters, especially his will to work hard and climb the ladder of success. But the other side where his male ego comes into the picture is unlike me. Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii has a powerful storyline revolving around gender disparity at workplace, that is not addressed frequently.
