Ruper McPetrie appointed as the CEO of APAC, EssenceMediacom

Nick Lawson, CEO of EssenceMediacom Global, has announced the first set of global leadership appointments for the newly formed agency, which will begin operations on January 1, 2023. Rupert McPetrie has been named CEO of APAC, overseeing over 1,600 employees in 21 locations. Tim Irwin has been named CEO of EMEA, with responsibility for a workforce of 4,500 people. Marina Gunther will take over as the new CEO of LATAM, overseeing the region's nine offices.

The agency claimed in a statement that the leadership team is a fair representation of Essence and MediaCom's finest and brightest worldwide leaders. To ensure a seamless launch, they will meet on a regular basis to form the new agency's methods, proposition and structure. "By announcing our global leadership team, we are sending a clear message to both our clients and our employees that the combination of Essence and MediaCom will result in a market-leading proposition delivering great work, unified across brand and performance, and offer enthralling career opportunities for the wonderful  and brilliant people who work for us," said Nick Lawson.

Josh Krichefski is the merged global operation's daily leader. Richard Mooney has been appointed as the Global Chief Data Officer. He'll assist EssenceMediaCom in using the power of data and technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Claire Camara is promoted to Global Chief People Officer, where she will be in charge of crafting a captivating colleague proposition and a culture that combines the best of Essence and MediaCom. Charlotte Frijns, the agency's Global Chief Financial Officer, oversees reporting,  client negotiations, financial administration.

Sarah Walker is promoted to Global Chief Marketing Officer, where she will be in charge of the agency's branding, business strategy, and marketing strategy. She'll also be in charge of keeping EssenceMediacom's positioning and client offering fresh. Frances Ralston-Good has been named Global Chief Transformation Officer, and she will be responsible for setting the transformation agenda for the agency's customers and employees, as well as how those changes will be implemented. Ian Rotherham takes on the role of Global Chief Development Officer, tasked with identifying possibilities for organic growth and driving growth through new business.

The communications strategy division will be led by Matthew Mee, who is the Global Chief Strategy Officer. He'll be in charge of the agency's integrated planning product's overall quality. This leadership group is now concluding plans for the strategic development of the proposal in North America, where the agency is looking to boost investment with a defined growth strategy. The regional appointment, as well as further local market appointments around the world, will be announced after this process is completed. In the months leading up to the launch, there will be more global leadership announcements.
