Ruskin Bond comes back to Doordarshan with 'Ek Tha Rusty- III'

Doordarshan brings back to you, India’s best–loved writer, Ruskin Bond’s serial adaptation, titled- ‘Ek Tha Rusty-III’.  Doordarshan is set to televise the programme from 10th July 2014 at 7:00 pm on DD National. The new series has the touch of Ruskin Bond’s well-known inimitable style, trademark humour and profound simplicity.

Ek Tha Rusty- III will capture the essence of the following stories written by Ruskin Bond:

 Dead Man’s Gift
 Binya Passes By  
 Last Time I Saw Delhi
 Time Stops At Shimla
 Hanging At Mango
 From small beginnings
 At Green’s Hotel

'As a boy, reading was my religion. It helped me to discover my soul. Later, writing helped me to record its journey.' - “Ruskin Bond”. The authentically recreated sets on location, and the beautiful old hotels and bungalows, the hills and dales of Mussoorie and its surrounds would take the viewer by exhilaration.

This series is conceptualised around: the sensational new novel ‘Maharani’ by Ruskin Bond and a very touching story of Rusty and his inner turmoil when he makes friends with an Anglo Indian who is in hiding because he has leprosy... this is in flashback of Rusty as a teenager. The secrets and unanswered questions will be revealed on 10th July at 7:00 pm.
