SAB goes free-to-air in UK

Comedy Channel, SAB TV, is endeavouring to capture and maintain a similar position in the international market. SAB TV was launched as a part of the View Asia pack on Sky-DTH platform and is now available Free to Air on both DTH and DTT platform. Digital terrestrial television in the United Kingdom encompasses over 100 television, radio and interactive services broadcast via the UK's terrestrial television network and receivable with a standard television aerial. This makes SAB the south Asian channel with the highest distribution.

The development can only help SAB TV to reach even greater heights as it offers Indian advertiser the chance to reach even larger audiences. SAB is now also rated on BARB (Broadcaster’s Audience Research Board) which is the official ratings agency for UK television audiences

With a large part of UKs NRI audiences belonging to the Punjabi-Gujarati demographic they are likely to enjoy SAB’s quirky shows such as Taraak Mehta ka Oolta Chasma, Chidiyaghar, R K Laxman Ki Duniya etc.
