Sagar Boke leaves Tata Consumer Products

Sagar Boke has decided to leave Tata Consumer Products & Tata Chemicals after spending seven years there. In these seven years, he got the opportunity to launch and build ‘Tata Sampann’, which started with the mission to make everyday Indian food more nourishing and is a 500 CR + franchise today, commanding a strong leadership in MT & E-Com channels as well as a very loyal consumer base and growing at a scorching pace. Tata Salt today reaches 80 CR Indians and is awarded as ‘India’s Most Trusted brand’ by Kantar.
Its portfolio now provides multiple offerings adding ‘health’ in every pinch. Its brand vision has successfully built around the narrative of choosing a better salt at the same time building a strong emotional connect with the consumers. He got the opportunity to form the ‘Shopper Marketing’ vertical for Tata Consumer products. It has got a disruptive growth in distribution (3X in 18 months), go-to-market strategies were built by shopper marketing, converting reach into revenue, by making an improvement in productivity, optimizing trade spends, building channel loyalty. He built teams from scratch at both Tata Chemicals & TCPL. He got valuable learnings in building a passionate tribe and fuelling their passion as a leader. Previously, he was the Head – Marketing at the Bunge, and the category head – Skin Care at Cavin Kare. Prior to that he was the Dy General Manager at Godrej Consumer Products Limited for six years. He started his career as a management trainee at Dabur India Limited.
