Salman Khan and Star GOLD are back together with the premiere of Dabangg 2

In 2011, Box office king Salman Khan and Hindi movie channel Star Gold re-created history on Indian television with the premiere of Bodyguard on the channel clocking in a whooping 10 TVR. The premiere yet ranks as the highest rated premiere on any Hindi movie channel till date. And now, Salman Khan and Star Gold are back together with the premiere of the action-packed blockbuster Dabangg 2 on Saturday, 27th April 2013 at 9 pm.

Grossing over 250 crores worldwide, Dabangg 2 is currently the third highest grossing Bollywood film of all time. After Singham, Bodyguard, Ra.One, Housefull 2, Bol Bachchan and Son of Sardaar; Dabangg 2 is the latest worldwide blockbuster to premiere on Star Gold. The film which is actor Salman Khan’s fifth film in the 100 crore club of Bollywood, also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Prakash Raj, Vinod Khanna and Arbaaz Khan. The film has been produced and directed by Arbaaz Khan.

On this occasion, Hemal Jhaveri, Executive Vice President of Star Gold said, “The premiere of Bodyguard on Star Gold ranks as the highest rated premiere on any Hindi movie channel till date. With the premiere of Dabangg 2, Star Gold once again reiterates its promise of bringing the latest and biggest Bollywood premieres on TV.”

Early this year, Salman Khan and Star India network signed a deal for the television broadcast rights of his upcoming Bollywood films till 2017. With the maximum number of 100 crore Bollywood films being premiered on the channel, and the TV rights deal between Star India and superstars Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn, Star Gold can definitely be called the Home of Bollywood Premieres for all Hindi movie buffs.
