‘Sanyukt’ bids adieu to its viewers!

Narrating the heart-warming story of Ila and Govardhan Mehta, an elderly couple attempting to cement their ties with their children and getting them to live under one roof, Zee TV’s primetime drama ‘Sanyukt’ connected well with audiences right since its launch on 6th September 2016. The show is now set to bid adieu to the audiences on 19th May 2017. Having kept them glued to the tube for months, the show has now finally reached its happy ending!

Standing by your loved ones through thick and thin or chasing your own personal, individualistic goals? Zee TV’s family drama ‘Sanyukt’ showcased how both are not mutually exclusive goals and that they can be achieved without one compromising the other. The relationship one shares with one’s family is one of the most long-lasting and emotionally intense social ties. Higher education, well-paying jobs, better lifestyles and marriage propels the younger generation into an orbit of success which often has them stay apart from their parents. With a stellar cast comprising actors like Kiran Kumar, Shubhangi Latkar, Namarata Thapa, Harsh Vashisht, Maninder Singh, Suraj Kakkad, Simran Khanna, Priyanka Purohit,  Mohit Sharma, Rishika Mihani and many more,  the show instilled the thought that it’s not how big the house is, but how happy the home is!

Speaking on the show’s wrap-up, an emotional Shubhangi Latkar who plays the role of Ila Mehta shares, “I am genuinely happy that I am a part of Sanyukt. This show has given me recognition and love from audiences. I have made some very good friends and we are one big family now. I am attached to each member of the show and will surely miss shooting for it. By  enacting the role of a dutiful mother to the kids and a strong wife, I  got a chance to explore my abilities as an actor. Very rarely on television do you see that elder couples get offers to play such strong lead roles and I am really thankful to Sa Re Ga Ma productions and ZEE TV for giving me this wonderful opportunity.”

Veteran actor Kiran Kumar who played the male lead Govardhan Mehta shared, ‘I returned to television with Sanyukt after two years because there are hardly any shows these days that do justice to senior actors. In that sense, Sanyukt, which centered around an elderly couple’s efforts of reuniting their family, has been a very good experience. The whole production and cast has been no less than a family to me. This is not the end but a new beginning. Hope television gets more of such family dramas.’

The show's journey saw the Mehta family go through several highs and lows. But in the last episode, we will finally see the effort of Ila and Govardhan Mehta towards bringing all their children together under a roof bearing fruit. The four children, having ironed out their issues with their parents and each other, will move into a big house to stay together like a 'Sanyukt' family. Happily ever after!

Watch the last episode of Sanyukt on 19th May at 7 PM, followed by the new primetime drama ‘Aisi Deewangi Dekhi Nahi Kahi’ starting 22nd May on the same time, only on ZEE TV.
