Saregama Gujarati’s name resonates across YouTube as it crosses 3cr views

Conquering the music industry one region at a time- India’s oldest record label, Saregama, has added another feather to its musical cap. With over 30 million overall views, and 1 lakh+ subscribers on the Saregama Gujarati YouTube channel, which launched only a year back, the label is poised to become a leader in the Gujarati regional music space. According to data, adding an average of 4500 subscribers daily, it is also one of the fastest growing channels in the region. 

With two of its songs currently featuring on YouTube charts, along with 4 songs in the Top-10 trending list within Gujarat, Saregama has been climbing musical ladders with significant and consistent efforts, which has also been noted by the industry experts and insiders. Having popular Gujarati artists like Rakesh Barot , Kajal Maheriya and Jignesh Barot in its roster, Saregama Gujarati’s music talents are quite enviable by other labels.  

As stated in a FICCI-PwC report, regional language consumption will surpass 50% of the consolidated time spent on Over-The-Top (OTT) platforms by 2025, moving way past Hindi at 45%. Building itself as a market leader in not only Gujarat, but also other areas like Bihar, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Bengal, and Haryana, Saregama is making a concerted effort to carve out a substantial share of the regional music space.
