SCREENXX 2021 Day 2 – Growing the talent pool, audio streaming, video ads
Day 2 of Adgully’s premier property for Digital Video and OTT, SCREENXX 2021, saw a mix of actors, content creators, OTT platforms, media agencies and brands discuss further fortifying OTT as a space to nurture talent, exploring online video advertising and the rise of audio streaming.
The first panel discussion of the day focussed on ‘OTT: A Level Playing Field for Talent’, saw moderator Bijoya Ghosh, Founder & CEO, Adgully, speak to some well-known names in the entertainment industry:
The artistes spoke about how OTT is encouraging newer storylines and serving as platforms for a wider pool of talent; where content is the superstar and actors get to essay a wide variety of roles and not get stereotyped.
This was followed by a panel discussion on ‘The Rise of Audio Streaming’. The speakers discussed how access to legit domain sources of content has seen the emergence of a complete new generation of online music listeners in India.
The panel discussion on ‘Online Video Advertising: Brand Building or Performance Tool’, saw the speakers mull over brand building versus driving in the online video advertising context. They also debated over whether video advertising is as effective on digital versus other mediums.
