Second edition of Bombay Times Fashion Week concludes on a high note

The second edition of the Bombay Times Fashion Week, a 3-day fashion extravaganza, kicked off on Friday, 30th March 2018. The exuberant fashion fiesta focused entirely on the best spring-summer collections, with an underlying theme of power, grace, and passion. The biggest fashion event of the season concluded on Sunday, 1st April where some of the biggest and most adored designer labels showcased their greatest collections.

In its second edition, the Bombay Times Fashion Week brought together leading designer labels and brands to showcase high-fashion trends of the season; Shaina NC, Mandira Wirk, Nandita Mahtani, Karleo, Ceriz (first of its kind aerodynamic concept), Narendra Kumar, Horra, Kalki Fashion, Archana Kochhar among many others. Celebrities like Pooja Chopra, Malaika Arora Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Surveen Chawla, Urvashi Rautela, Angad Bedi, Anita Hassanandani, Walusha De Souza, Yami Gautam, and many more set the ramp ablaze as they sported this season’s trendiest looks. 

 The first day began with the stylish collection titled 'The Power Woman Show' presented by Cocoon Fertility by Shaina NC followed by the collections of Tisharth, Adaa by Adaa Mallikk, Tasneem Merchant, Giordano presents Shahin Manan, Mandira Wirk, concluding the evening with the shimmery collection of White Villa presents Nandita Mahtani.

Day 2 began with a special collection by Vivianna Mall presents ‘ExtraordiNAARI’ honoring the acid attack survivors, followed by House of Milk by Reshma Merchant, Karleo, Myriad Active Wear, Ceriz, along with Rina Dhaka & Poonam Soni’s jewelry collection, while Narendra Kumar’s floral men’s collection concluded the day. 

 The finale showcased some exciting collections including the stylish looks by upcoming design-students of INIFD Bandra, followed by Papa Don’t Preach by Shubhika, Horra for Asif Merchant, Pinky Sheshank's Eyecandy, Flirtatious by Akriti, Kalki Fashion, Dr. Tvacha presents Archana Kochhar and concluding on day 3 was Falguni and Shane Peacock’s couture pieces.

Teaming up with Jean-Claude Biguine, each show’s glam-quotient was further elevated, as the team paired the designers’ most fabulous couture collections with the most appropriate hair and make-up. The 3-day event showcased collections ranging from active-wear to formals, to party-wear, traditional as well as fusion clothing.

The Bombay Times Fashion Week was a gala affair with celebrity guests like Miss World Manushi Chhillar, Suzanne Khan, Dino Morea, Tushar Kapoor, Upen Patel, Salim- Suleman, Pooja Bedi, Vidjut Jamwal, Tanaz Irani, Aditi Govitrikar, Madhu Shah, Manasi Scott, Tridha Choudhary, Giaa Manek, Puneesh Sharma among others, who cheered the models and designers on during various shows.
