The feature is helpful in satisfying multiple needs, but definitely not for sending nude pictures but like sharing pictures of dresses or passwords which are for one time only. Unlike Snapchat or Instagram’s disappearing media feature, you will not get notified if someone takes screenshots of the same.

The privacy-focused vision of Mark Zuckerberg defines this new feature as a step that gives users 'even more control over their privacy.' From 2019, Facebook has updated techs as a gesture towards providing the users, seize and control their online privacy, with streamlining audience controls and featuring disappearing messages on Whatsapp.
Talking about a bigger game of end to end encryption to its whole lineup of messaging services, the company plans to make the services more compatible in terms of the exchange of information. Whatsapp had it from 2016, but the privacy measures are still awaited for Messenger and Instagram and it could take years to be out.
